The war
Searching for the enemy, looking into the sun
Spotted him behind me, now I gotta run
Pulling on my flight stick, trying’ to get away
Ending up with four big G’s, this just ain’t my day
Spinning down right back to earth, getting really ill
Pulling up and looking down, noticing that hill
Rolling over to his rear, getting him in my sight
Firing a missile to him, ending up his flight
There’s a flashing light telling me I’m hit
There’s a burning plane, of which I gotta get rid
I am reaching for the lever, trying to get out
I am floating down to earth, filling me with doubt
We’re at war now can’t you see it
Open your eyes and better believe it
‘Cause there’ll be a time
When it ain’t a crime
And all of us are
Stuck in this fucking war
Searching for the enemy, looking through the trees
Spotted some of them, terrorising refugees
Sneaking down a tiny path, moving like a snake
Advancing to the yellow gooks, swimming through a lake
Marching to a big old tree, taking cover there
Having not one second thought, life ain’t just to fair
Pulling out a pineapple, blowing them to hell
Running for my life, but feeling very well
There’s a feeling, tight, telling me to go
There’s a cover blown, making me stay low
I am searching for the chopper, trying to get out
I am flying out of here, filling me with doubt
Searching for the enemy, looking on my scoop
Spotted him right dead ahead, let’s give something to cope
Trying to get a good lock, before he can see us
Firing a torpedo, avoiding any fuzz
Hearing the alarm ringing, the sonar’s picked up a source
Seeing the allied ship breaking with vast force
Tracking our surrounding space, looking for his arm
Launching an encounterer, though we’ll know some harm
There’s exploding sound, surrounding everyone
There’s a trashing noise, nothing can be done
I am falling on the ceiling, knowing they all lied
I am not a special soldier, just another died
